AI on the ERP You Already Have

Alex ReichenbachOctober 06, 2026

A few months ago I gave our engineers a task, and I honestly didn't know if it was possible.

Replace it first

Most of the shops we talk to run on an ERP that's been sitting on a server in the building for fifteen or twenty years, usually Sage, SYSPRO, or Guardian. It works, and nobody wants to touch it.

When the owner asks how to get AI into the business, the answer they keep hearing is to replace the ERP first. That means a year or more, and a lot of money, before they see anything.

The task

So I asked the team to make AI work on the ERP a shop already has, with two constraints: no migration, and nothing new for the IT guy to babysit.

The first one took three weeks of hard engineering. Most of that went into making the connection reliable, getting Microsoft's approval, and setting up the cloud side.

Now it's an install

What took three weeks the first time is now an install. We've done it on:

  • Sage 50
  • Sage 300
  • Sage 300 CRE
  • Sage UKI
  • SYSPRO
  • Guardian

Once the ERP is connected, everything else we build can sit on top of it — including text to ERP, which lets people update the system from their phones.

If you're running your business on an older ERP and want AI working on it, send us a message.
