Structify Is Now CMMC Level 2 Compliant

Ronak GandhiOctober 07, 2026

We've done something no other AI-native startup has done yet. Structify is officially CMMC Level 2 compliant, and we are the first and currently only player to get there.

I've been sitting with that sentence for the last couple of weeks, and I want to explain why it matters so much to me.

The wall we kept hitting

When we started selling to manufacturers, I kept hearing the same thing on calls. The interest was real. The problems were real. People wanted AI to take the manual work off their teams' plates. And then the conversation would hit a wall: "This sounds great, but we work in aerospace and defense. Our data can't go anywhere near a tool that isn't compliant."

They were right. For a lot of the companies that make this country run — the machine shops, the parts suppliers, the defense subcontractors — the most valuable data they have is also the most protected. Until now, the AI industry has basically told them to wait.

What CMMC Level 2 actually takes

CMMC Level 2 is the standard the Department of Defense requires before a company can handle Controlled Unclassified Information. It's 110 security controls, endless documentation, and a complete rethink of how you build, deploy, and operate. It's the opposite of "move fast and break things," which is exactly why so few AI companies have gone after it.

We decided early that we weren't going to be one of those companies. If we wanted to be the partner manufacturers actually trust, security couldn't be something we bolted on later. It had to be part of the foundation.

Their win

None of this happens without two people: Laura Garcia and Alex Goldstein carried this across the finish line.

I don't think most people understand how much work goes into something like this: the late nights, the controls rebuilt from scratch, the documentation reviewed and re-reviewed, the patience it takes to get every detail right when there's no shortcut. They did that while the rest of us kept building and selling. I'm incredibly proud of them, and I want everyone to know this was their win.

What changes now

For the aerospace manufacturers and defense suppliers we work with, it means you no longer have to choose between modernizing and staying compliant. We can build custom AI solutions inside the boundaries your contracts require, working with the sensitive information that used to be off limits.

For us, it's a responsibility. Every customer who hands us their data is trusting us with their business, their contracts, and in many cases their role in national security. Today's certificate makes that commitment official, but the commitment itself doesn't end here. We'll keep earning it every day.

If compliance is what's been holding you back from AI, it doesn't have to anymore. Read more about how we handle security, or reach out to talk it through.
